Dr. Pat Robinson

Dr. Pat Robertson (1930–2023), born in Lexington, Virginia, to A. Willis and Gladys Churchill Robertson, founded The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Regent University, Operation Blessing, and the American Center for Law and Justice. Graduating magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University (1950, Phi Beta Kappa), he served as a Marine Corps first lieutenant in Korea, earned a J.D. from Yale Law School (1955), and an M.Div. from New York Theological Seminary (1959). Married to Adelia “Dede” Robertson for 67 years until her passing in 2022, they had four children, 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. CBN, launched in 1961, grew into a global ministry, with The 700 Club as its flagship. A prolific author, his books include The Secret Kingdom.
