The Book of Numbers continues the story of Israel's journey of trusting God as He leads them through the wilderness to the land of milk and honey.Â
It describes the census undertaken by Moses and Aaron of those capable of military service, God’s guidance of His people through the wilderness, and how the people regularly doubt God’s goodness, faithfulness, and guidance by grumbling and complaining against leadership.Â
Numbers describes the failure of God’s people to enter the Promised Land and God’s judgment upon an entire generation because of their doubt and unbelief. It is a book that describes the nation of Israel as they learn to trust and follow God and His commands.Â
