Dr. Angel Marcial

Dr. Angel Marcial, a distinguished pastor and leader within the Church of God (Cleveland, TN), brings decades of ministry experience to ISOW Español at ISOW School of Ministry (isow.org). Originally from Puerto Rico, he began his pastoral journey at the Church of God in Hato, Tejas, Bayamón, and later served nine years as pastor in Vista Alegre, Río Piedras. In 1996, he became National Overseer of the Church of God in Puerto Rico, followed by his role as Superintendent of the Hispanic Caribbean from 2002, overseeing churches in Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and Curaçao. From 2006 to 2018, he served as Administrative Bishop of the Southeast Hispanic Region of the United States. A scholar with a Master of Pastoral Studies from Pentecostal Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from McCormick Theological Seminary, Dr. Marcial is a respected voice on social justice, advocating for issues like migrant rights through Church of God platforms. Since his appointment at the 2018 General Assembly, he has served as Field Director for Latin America, guiding the denomination’s mission across the region.
