About T.L. Lowery

Thomas Lanier Lowery (1929–2016), born in Eastman, Georgia, was one of six children raised in a Pentecostal family. He came to Christ in 1943, married Mildred Woodard, and had a son, Stephen, who pastors in Washington, D.C. Lowery has four children and eight grandchildren. From 1954 to 1969, he conducted evangelistic crusades in over 115 countries, using a 10,000-seat tent, marked by conversions and divine healings. He pastored North Cleveland Church of God (1969–1974), building its sanctuary, and the National Church of God in Washington, D.C. (1981–1996), leading significant growth. A Church of God leader for decades, he served on the International Executive Committee and various boards. Lowery authored two dozen books and inspired thousands through his ministry.
